The guy who previously unlocked iOS 4.0 Beta 4 (formerly iPhone OS 4), PwnageTool bundles for iPhone 3GS on iOS 4 and Blacksn0w RC2 patch for iPhone 3.1.3 is now back with a new patch, which makes Blacksn0w unlock compatible with iOS 4.0, provided that you have preserved your baseband to 05.11.07 using PwnageTool.

Yesterday's WWDC keynote proves, once again, that Steve Jobs really knows how to put on a show.
In the end, the phone Apple launched this week—a vastly redesigned iPhone 4—is very much like the one that got Gizmodo into all that hot water. Yet, for as much as we already knew—and thought we knew—about this new iPhone, the announcement was still dazzling.
Certainly, Steve Jobs is among the industry's best showman. Of course, it does help to have something significant to show off. Lately, I think Microsoft's Steve Ballmer has too often found himself without much to talk about. Consequently, when he takes the stage, things just get weird. He's not a ringmaster like Steve Jobs.  

 

The GM (Gold Master) release of iOS 4 for iPhone 3GS, 3G and iPod touch 3G, 2G has made its way on the popular file sharing and torrent sites. Unlike all the previous Betas, this release actually doesn’t require registered UDID, and you can restore it on a Windows machine too but it will be pointless as for activation, you will still need iTunes 9.2 Beta which is currently only available for registered developers on Macs. 

Want to get your hands on an iOS 4-equipped device now without being a registered Apple developer? As a number of readers have pointed out, it seems yesterday's gold build release works on any applicable iPhone / iPod touch whether or not its UDID has been sent to the dev center. Now that the previous restraint has been lifted, the only requirement now is a copy of iTunes 9.2 -- currently for Macs only and still blocked by the developer gate, but once you manage to obtain the appropriate files, the only thing in your path is time itself. Apple today has finally released the very final version of iPhone OS 4 (now renamed to iOS 4.0), along with SDK for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 2G/3G. Members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise program can access the bits right now, while the public will get it via the latest version of iTunes soon.

Apple has seeded iTunes 9.2 beta, along with iOS 4 GM (pre-release) for iPhone 3GS, 3G and iPod touch via Apple Developer Connection. This release is strictly for testing purposes and is currently available for Mac OS X only.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has been very clearly and fairly adamant that Adobe Flash is fraught with too many issues to be allowed on the iPhone or iPad platforms. No worries. Yes you read that right! The Italian site iDroid has managed to port the latest Android 2.2 OS (aka Froyo) to iPhone 3G. This port is based on the same iBoot method which was originally released for both iPhone 2G and 3G with Android 1.6.
 
Apart from WiFi and sound, almost everything else is said to be working, including sending of calls and SMS text messages. And hopefully, the developer behind iPhoDroid will bring support for Android 2.2 so that we can install it on our jailbroken iPhones within minutes.

WWDC 10 is only about 12 hours away now where Apple will unveil the next iPhone and what we have now is even more pictures leaked from Korea, showing the back panel, and other parts of the white model of the next-gen iPhone. The back panel case is similar to all the previous leaks that we have seen so far. Maybe someone in China, Vietnam or Korean region have got loads of these parts and they are selling it off to make loads of money right before the official announcement by Jobs.

WWDC 10 is going to be a huge event for both developers and consumers. Apple has got some cool new things to announce such as the new iPhone 4 / HD. But what are the other things which we should expect from Steve Jobs’ WWDC 10 keynote? Let’s take a look at them.


 

According to the sources at BGR, there is high chance that the next Apple iPhone will go on sale nationwide on Friday, June 18th 2010. They have confirmed it through multiple AT&T store reps that since the sales quotas for this month are very high, what this means is that the iPhone 4G/HD is confirmed to launch sometime in June, not July.

 

We are not sure if this is a bug or a feature but if you try to push the power/sleep button for three times in a row on the lockscreen, the iPhone goes right into flashlight mode showing bright white screen. I have also tested this and it appears to be working on iPhone OS 4 Beta 4.
